Santa Clara’s America250 12-Month Lecture Series will continue this Wednesday, March 4th, at 7:00 pm at the Santa Clara Town Hall. Join us for the March lecture, “Dominguez/Escalante Expedition 1776 – 250 Years Later”.
While our founding fathers were signing the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, two New Mexico Franciscans were trying to locate a northern route directly from Santa Fe to Monterey in California. The March America 250 lecture will feature Utah State University Professor Charlotte Hansen Terry as she traces the steps of these explorers on their five-month and nearly 1,700 mile journey through Utah including stops near Santa Clara.
