Dispose of Hazardous Waste Correctly – Not in Your Trash or Recycle Container!

Chemical products in your home become Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) once they are no longer in use or have passed their expiration date. The potential for their ignitability and toxicity make them hazardous to us and those around us. While HHW is not regulated by the Utah Department of Environmental Quality or the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Washington County Solid Waste District has taken a proactive approach to ensure Washington County residents have a proper method to dispose of their hazardous materials. We offer our residents Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days throughout the year for your convenience.
